The Holiday Season can be a challenge for parents, especially managing their children’s mental health needs. Help is available. The Maltby Centre is presenting a special free social media livestream – Navigating your child’s mental health over the Holiday Season. The 25 year old children’s mental health agency in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox and Addington will be answering questions from parents live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube December 9 at 5:00PM.

We usually think of the Holidays as a time of joy and celebration, gifts under the tree and visiting family and friends. But it can also be a stressful time for both parents and children, and that has an impact on mental health. On top of this has been the mental health impact of COVID-19 on children and youth. This will be their second Holiday Season during the Pandemic.

Parents have questions. How can they support their kids’ mental health over the Holidays? What should they do to prepare? How can they talk to their kids about mental health?

In the Navigating your child’s mental health over the Holiday Season livestream parents will be able to get answers from children’s mental health experts at the Maltby Centre. They’ll be able to get tips on what to do and ask questions live on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
